Malingre Précoce

Previously Malingre is a white grape that was drawn in 1840 by a French gardener named Malingre near Paris from seedlings whose origin is unknown. Today, the variety is mainly used as a table grape in home gardens and cultivated in many countries such as Belgium, China, Germany, France, Canada, Austria, USA, etc.. Of particular importance is of this variety to as crossing partners for many new varieties. For example, the varieties Madeleine Angevine and Zarya Severa be mentioned. Madeleine Angevine is in turn crossing partners of the better known varieties Pearl of Csaba, Reichensteiner and Siegerrebe. About the intersection Gm 6494 Zarya Severa entered the new varieties Bronner, Baron, Cabernet Carbon, Prior and Souvignier gris.

Ampelographic varietal characteristics

In the ampelography the habit is described as follows:

  • The shoot tip is open. It is leichtflammig (sometimes only spinnwebig ) hairy with a slightly reddish hint at the edges. The young leaves are hairy and spinnwebig already strongly sinuate.
  • The small leaves are indented five lobes and strong. The petiole is lyrenförmig open. The sheet is cut sharply. The upper leaf surface (also called leaf blade ) is vesicular rough pronounced.
  • The cone - shaped to cylindrical bunch is medium and loose-. The oblong berries are medium in size and of a yellowish to green color. The berries are thin-skinned.

Previously Malingre matures almost 10 days before the Chasselas. Thus it applies as very early ripening. The variety is good and has a sufficient resistance to rot. The berries are juicy and sweet, but have no specific aroma. Due to the thin-skinned berries the variety is easily susceptible is hardly against the raw rot and transport of the berries possible.
