Malte Metzelder

January Malte Metzelder ( born May 19, 1982 in Haltern ) is a German footballer who is currently 04 is under contract with FC Ingolstadt.

Career

His football career began as brother Christoph at TuS Haltern am See, where he was active until 1997. Then moved to Malte SpVgg Erkenschwick, where he played one year. In 1998 he moved to Preußen Münster.

The 1,95 m tall defender started with the active football Preußen Münster in June 2001 and moved to Borussia Dortmund, where at this time also played his older brother Christoph two years later. Since Malte Metzelder there rarely was used, he joined in 2005 the regional league VfR Aalen. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved from the eels VfR to FC Ingolstadt 04 He rose in 2008 /09 in the 2nd Bundesliga on, one year later, again and again in 2010.

With Borussia Dortmund, he reached the 2003 League Cup final in 2004 and sixth in 2005 and seventh in the first Bundesliga. Overall, he came in the league nine times used.
