Caiuby Francisco da Silva (born 14 July 1988 São Paulo ) is a Brazilian footballer. Since January 2011, he plays for German second division side FC Ingolstadt 04

Career

Caiubys preferred position is in the storm. He played for FC São Paulo, Corinthians Guaratinguenta and the Brazilian second division São Caetano.

He changed on 29 August 2008 to VfL Wolfsburg and received a contract until 2013. On 24 September 2008 he gave his debut in the DFB Cup for VfL. In the 7-0 win against FC Oberneuland Caiuby came in at half-time for Mahir Sağlık and scored the goal for the final score. On October 5, 2008 Caiuby was a curious debut in the Bundesliga: In the 65th minute he was substituted in the game at Schalke 04 for Christian Gentner. 60 seconds later, he scored his first goal for the temporary 2:1 for VfL Wolfsburg. After a red card for his teammates Ricardo Costa, he was replaced just nine minutes after coming off the bench for tactical reasons again against Alexander Madlung. At the end of the season 2008 /09 he won with VfL Wolfsburg their first championship in club history.

In order to continue its development better, he was loaned out in July 2009 for the 2009/10 season in the second division club MSV Duisburg. There he was to receive the much needed match practice. After Caiuby had been suspended during the winter break along with Karim Ziani by coach Steve McClaren from the professional squad, he was loaned to FC Ingolstadt 04, in which he received a loan contract until 30 June 2012. For the 2012/13 season Caiuby has been committed. He received a three-year contract until 30 June 2015.
