The station Mannheim -Friedrich field is a separation station in the district of Mannheim, Friedrich field on the district border to Baden-Württemberg community Enghien -Neckarhausen. All railway lines lie on the Mannheim district, only the station building is located on the territory of Enghien -Neckar Hausener hamlet of New Enghien. The category 4 station has five platform tracks and is operated exclusively by local trains of Deutsche Bahn AG (DB).

History

In 1838 the Main-Neckar Railway was planned that connects Frankfurt with Mannheim and Heidelberg. Together with the stretch of Bensheim -Heidelberg and the branch to Mannheim and thus the total distance of the Main- Neckar line of the terminal station between Main- Neckar line and Baden State Railways was on August 1, 1846 in Frederick field to treat both cities the same, built.
