Manntis

Manntis is an American metalcore band from Riverside County in Southern California.

Band History

The band was founded as a quartet in the fall of 2000, a short time later by a second guitarist. After a few months of rehearsing and song writing, the band began to play on local events. In 2004, she also took part in the MTV show Battle for Ozzfest. There they finished third behind Curse Your Name and the winners of A Dozen Furies.

In April 2005, signing a worldwide deal with Century Media Records has been completed. The debut album Sleep in Your Grave, which then finally appeared under Century Media was produced by Cameron Webb, who had already worked with Danzig, Motorhead and Social Distortion.

2006, the band had with the sounds -of -the- Underground Tour, which among other things led to England and Germany, with Chimaira, Unearth, All That Remains and terror their first live appearances in Europe.

The next studio album Master of Ceremonies was initially scheduled for 2007 but was postponed until the summer of 2008 and was subsequently not published until today. It should be produced by Christian Olde Wolbers, the guitarist of the metal band Fear Factory.

Style

The musicians have been inspired over the years by bands such as Pantera, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, boysetsfire, Zao, Poison the Well, Meshuggah and Killswitch Engage.
