Manuel Caballero
Manuel Antonio Caballero Agüero ( born December 5, 1931 in Barquisimeto, † December 12, 2010 in Caracas ) was a Venezuelan historian, journalist and university lecturer.
Life
Caballero studied history at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and received his PhD at the University of London. In 1994 he was awarded the National Prize for Journalism and the National Prize for history. In 2005 he was inducted as a member of the Venezuelan Academy of History.
Caballero wrote regularly for El Nacional, El Diario de Caracas and El Universal.
