Manya Makoski

Manya Janine Makoski ( born April 18, 1984 in Bridgeport, Connecticut ) is a former American football player who was most recently in the 2013 season with Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League under contract.

Career

Between 2004 and 2008, played Makoski for the lower division teams New Jersey Wildcats, Connecticut Soccer Plus and Pali Blues. For the 2009 season, she was gedrafted from WPS participants Los Angeles Sol. After the dissolution of the sol she stood at Premier League rivals Atlanta Beat under contract, there was, however, due to a cruciate ligament injury extended periods of time.

In 2011 Makoski played at the club Þór Akureyri Iceland, before she moved to the Finnish representative Åland United in early 2012. With 31 goals in 25 league games, she was there for the top scorer of the Naisten Liiga.
