Mapleville, Rhode Island

Maplesville is a village in Burrillville, Providence County, Rhode Iceland, United States. It has an area of ​​4.18 km ² and 1142 inhabitants. More than 98 % of residents are white. The village has a post office, a fire station, two churches, a library and various shops. The urban area is largely forested, the place is drained by the Chepachet River.

History

Maple Ville was originally a settlement of mill workers. The mill rights lying on the banks of Chepachet Rivers were in 1845 taken up by Darius Lawton had built a mill for textile manufacturing.
