Marabou (chocolate)

Marabou is a Swedish chocolate brand name for products of the international food group Mondelez International.

History

The company Marabou AB was formed in 1916 through the initiative of the Norwegian Johan Throne Holst, who had previously founded the Freia brand in Norway. Production began in 1919 in a factory in the Swedish Sundbyberg. Between 1941 and 1962, the Marabou AB Findus had owned.

1990 Marabou was acquired by Freia and founded new Freia Marabou as. Norsk Hydro, Procordia Foods and Paulig were some of the home owners. 1993 bought the company Kraft General Foods ( Since October 1, 2012 renamed the Kraft Foods Inc. under Mondelez International Inc. ), the company for three billion Norwegian kroner. Varieties

The Marabou brand is today most well known for its milk chocolate that comes in a variety of flavors: Mjölkchoklad (milk chocolate), Schweizernöt ( Swiss nut), Frukt & Mandel ( fruit & almond ), Mörk choklad ( Dark Chocolate ), Helnöt ( whole nut), Apelsinkrokant ( orange praline ), Digestive, Daim, Mintkrokant, Ducat, Gräddnougat (cream nougat ), Crisp, Cocos, Amigo and non stop and with Oreos.

Other known in Scandinavia confectionery, which are known under the brand name Marabou Aladdin, Paradis, Dubbelnougat, belvita and co- co. Previously also Daim and Japp was one of marabou.

Marketing

Marabouts advertising slogan Mmm ... Marabou was introduced in a promotional film in 1956, in which Swedish actor Sture bearing wall and Yvonne Lombard who participated.
