Marco Mathys

Career

Marco Mathys began his career at SC Derendingen. In 2006 he moved to FC Concordia Basel in the Challenge League. Three years later he moved within the league to FC Biel, where he became a high -scoring midfielder for service providers. Early 2012 undertook the then leader of the Challenge League, FC St. Gallen, Marco Mathys. In the play-off first leg of the Europa League against Spartak Moscow Mathys scored the goal for a 1-1 draw. After the successful qualification for the group stage, he also met in the home games against Kuban Krasnodar 2-0 and against Swansea City in a 1-0 draw. At the start of 2014 extended Mathys his contract with FC St. Gallen prematurely until 2016.
