Marco Scacchi

Marco Scacchi (* 1605 in Gallese at Viterbo, † September 11, 1685 ) was an Italian conductor and composer of the Baroque.

Life

After his training in Rome by Giovanni Francesco Anerio he moved to Warsaw, where he. Starting in 1624 as a violinist in the Royal Chapel of Sigismund III and he had in 1630, after the death of Anerio, took over the position as Kapellmeister. Work

Marco Scacchi, who often used the most polychoral technique in his works, created a number of works of sacred vocal music, including fairs and madrigals.
