Margaret Ann Neve

Margaret Ann Neve ( born in Harvey, born May 18, 1792 in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, † April 4, 1903 ibid ) was from 1902 to 1925 the oldest person in the world. She was the first woman who was proven to be 110 years old.

Life

In 1823 she married John Neve and lived until his death in 1849 in England; their marriage remained childless. She then returned to Guernsey. She traveled a lot, especially with her sister. Your last trip she led in 1872 to Krakow. Her sister died at the age of 98 years. Her mother was 99 years old.

She was the first Super Centenarian of the 20th century and the first person who lived in three centuries: in the 18th, 19th and 20th century. On 1 October 1902, she was the oldest person in the world, as they overtook the hitherto oldest people Geert Adriaans Boomgaard. She held the record age almost 23 years to 19 August 1925 and was subsequently surpassed by Louisa Thiers.
