Margaret Cambridge, Marchioness of Cambridge

Lady Margaret Evelyn Grosvenor ( born April 9, 1873 Eaton Hall, Cheshire, † March 27, 1929 in London) was a British nobleman. Through marriage, she was a member of the British Royal Family and the last Duchess of Teck in the Kingdom of Württemberg.

Life

Margaret Evelyn was the third daughter of eight children of Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster ( 1825-1899 ) and his first wife Lady Constance Gertrude Leveson - Gower ( 1834-1880 ), eldest daughter of George Sutherland - Leveson - Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland and Lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard.

On December 12, 1894 Lady Margaret Evelyn married in Eaton Hall, Chester, the German -born Prince Adolphus of Teck ( 1868-1927 ), eldest son of Duke Francis of Teck ( 1837-1900 ) and his wife Princess Mary Adelaide of Great Britain, Ireland and Hanover (1833-1897), youngest daughter of Prince Adolphus Frederick, 1st Duke of Cambridge. From the marriage, which by all accounts was happy, went four children:

During her marriage to Lady Margaret engaged in several charitable organizations; a big concern lay in the education and health sector.
