Margaret Lindsay

Margaret Lindsay ( born September 19, 1910 in Dubuque, Iowa; † 9 May 1981 in Los Angeles, California; born Margaret gravel ) was an American actress.

Life

She made her film debut in 1932 in Okay, America!. Her first starring role was played by Margaret Lindsay in 1933 at the site of William Powell in The detective and the player. One of her greatest successes it achieved in 1938 on the side of Bette Davis and Henry Fonda in Jezebel - The wicked lady. In later years, Lindsay has also appeared in television productions, such as The Fall Guy Sorry Waters of the successful television series in Germany pistols and petticoats, before she retired in 1967 largely as a result from the public. In 1974 she had a brief comeback in a U.S. series.

She has a star on the Walk of Fame ( 6318 Hollywood Blvd. ). Her older sister was the actress Jane Gilbert. Margaret Lindsay was buried in the cemetery "Holy Cross Cemetery " in Culver City, California.
