Mária Jasenčáková

Mária Jasencakova ( born October 21, 1957 in Spišská Sobota ) was a Slovak Luge, the first starting participated in five Winter Olympics for Czechoslovakia and later Slovakia 1980-1998.

Mária Jasencakova started for the club Tělovýchovná Jednota High Tatras. In 1980 she took part in her first Lake Placid Olympics and finished ninth. This was followed by further launches in Sarajevo in 1984 and 1992 in Albertville with positions 12 and 20, 1994 Jasencakova launched for the first time in Lillehammer for Slovakia, finishing in 15th place, which it occupied in Nagano in their fifth and final games in 1998.

In Luge World Cup Jasencakova occupied mainly in the 1980s often good rankings, they finished ninth overall in the 1980/81 season and won 1982/83 and 1983/84 respectively, the World Cup race in Imst. She was thus the only starter that could offer the GDR 's women Steffi Martin, Ute White and Bettina Schmidt stand up at this time. After the Games, the 1998 Jasencakova ended her career.
