María José Pueyo

María José Pueyo ( María José Pueyo Bergua; born March 16, 1970 in Jaca ) is a Spanish long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

In 2000, she was at her debut fourth at the San Sebastián - Marathon. Fourth, it was also the 2003 Frankfurt Marathon in 2:39:08 h following year she finished seventh at the Rotterdam Marathon and won in San Sebastián. In 2005, she was a total winner of the Maratón Martín Fiz in Vitoria -Gasteiz national champion, arrived at the World Half Marathon Championships in Edmonton on the 25th place and defended her title in San Sebastián.

In 2006, she was tenth in the Hamburg Marathon and finished the marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg the 27th rank.

A ninth place in Hamburg and a second place in Zaragoza Marathon in 2007 followed in 2008, the second national title they won by their overall victory at Valencia Marathon in her personal best time of 2:32:22 hours. She qualified for the marathon by the Olympic Games in Beijing, in which she came on the 64th Place.

In 2009 she became a Spanish champion in the 10-km road race and won it for the third time in San Sebastián.

María José Pueyo is 1,72 m tall and weighs 52 kg. She is coached by José Fernando García and currently starts for Montaña Sabiñánigo.
