Marie-Luise Neunecker

Marie -Luise Neunecker ( born July 17, 1955 in Erbes- Büdesheim ) is a German horn player.

Life

She studied musicology and German. Later they took the horn studies with Erich Penzel on at the Academy of Music and Dance Cologne.

In 1978 she started as a second horn player at the Frankfurt Opera. In 1979 she was principal horn with the Bamberg Symphony. From 1981 to 1989, she starred as principal horn in the symphony orchestra of Hessischer Rundfunk.

This was followed by concerts at numerous festivals, including Munich Biennale, Schleswig -Holstein Music Festival, Marlboro Music Festival and the Vienna Festival with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and Sándor Végh. At the 1995 Salzburg Festival she performed with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra under the baton of Jeffrey Tate.

Since 1988 she has been professor of horn at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main since 2004 and a professor at the Academy of Music " Hanns Eisler" Berlin.

Recordings

Also there have been numerous recordings, including the Strauss and the Mozart horn concertos. Hindemith Concerto with Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and Russian horn concertos ( Glazunov, Gliere and Schebalin ) with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.
