Marion Aye

Marion Aye ( born April 5, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois, † July 21, 1951 in Culver City, California ) was an American theater and film actress who starred in the 1920s, primarily in comedies.

Life and career

The Chicago-born Marion Aye was discovered in the early 20s by the American film producer Mack Sennett and 1922 voted along with twelve other young stars to WAMPAS Babystar. In addition to comedies she played mainly in dance films and Western on the side of Bob Reeves with.

After she had finished her film career in 1926, she retired completely from the public back and was forgotten by the film industry. She tried several times since 1935, to take his own life. On 10 July 1951 she was found unconscious in a hotel in Culver City, after she had taken poison to him. Aye died eleven days later at the age of 48 years from the effects of poisoning. Her second husband, the comedian Ross Forester, reported shocked by her death that you have held her statement that she wanted to take his life, just for a joke.
