Marion Ryan

Marion Ryan ( born February 4, 1931 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England; † January 15, 1999 in Boca Raton, Florida, United States) was a British singer, particularly in the late 1950s and was able to celebrate successes in the early 1960s. She is the mother of pop singer Paul and Barry Ryan.

Ryan sang for the big band of Edmundo Ros and Ray Ellington Quartet, Joe Meek and John Barry. She was, as she could not only sing, but was still pretty, discovered for television. She became the permanent singer and presenter of the BBC show Spot the Tune. She took for Pye Nixa Records Vinyl to, including " Couple of Crazy Kids " as a duet with Gary Miller. However, they never had a major success with their singles - with one exception: In January 1958 it climbed Love Me Forever, recorded with the Orchestra Peter Knight, in the UK charts at # 5

From her first marriage to Lloyd Sapherson the identical twins Paul and Barry come. In 1967 she married the American showbiz impresario Harold Davidson. She finished after their Sangeskarriere that had already passed its peak at that time.

Marion Ryan died shortly before her 68th birthday of heart failure due to pneumonia.
