Mark Farrington

Mark Farrington ( born June 15, 1965) is a former English footballer.

He played in his youth at Everton. He then did not get a professional contract. However, he was able to convince in 1983 with four goals to opponents Norwich City in the three finals of the FA Youth Cup and there wrote a two -year contract.

Both there and at Cambridge United, where Farrington was temporarily borrowed, he could not prevail. In July 1985, he moved to Cardiff City. In the Welsh he was able to convince athletic, but was negative on and off the field and was released after one season for disciplinary reasons.

From 1986 Farrington tried his luck at Willem II Tilburg, with whom he immediately rose to the Eredivisie in the first season and the following season was a surprising fourth. After these two years, he moved to KRC Genk, but there rose from the 2nd Belgian league so that he moved after the season back in the Netherlands for Fortuna Sittard. The Limburgern he scored ten goals in 30 missions and then moved to the new Bundesliga side Hertha BSC. Although Hertha was already knocked off the winter break at the end of the table, to Farrington had not been successful, and he left the club after just half a year.

After the positive experience in Sittard Farrington moved again to Holland for giants Feyenoord Rotterdam, he but at the end of the season and five games left again for England.

In the second division Brighton & Hove Albion he played until 1994 but could not get a foothold there and brought it in three years to only 28 missions. His career was in season 1994/95 end the evening with unterklassigen Hereford United.
