Mark McDonald

Mark McDonald ( born June 7, 1980 in Inverurie ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

Life

McDonald attended the Dyce Academy Dyce, a suburb of Aberdeen, and then studied politics at the University of Dundee. He graduated as Bachelor and then joined the University of Aberdeen. McDonald is married, has two children and lives with his family in Dyce.

Political career

Within the party, McDonald was first as an assistant for various deputies, Richard Lochhead, Maureen Watt and Nigel Don, works. In 2007 he was elected for the District Dyce / Bucksburn / Danestone in the city council of Aberdeen. He first joined the 2011 parliamentary elections at the national level elections. Here, McDonald not applied for the direct mandate of a single constituency, but was placed on the fourth rank of the Regional Evaluation of the SNP for choosing North East Scotland. As a result of the election results, the SNP could send a list of candidates. As listed on the front three positions candidates all won direct mandates, McDonald received the mandate for North East Scotland and moved for the first time in the Scottish Parliament. The fact that McDonald was able to win a mandate was so surprising that he had to appear in everyday clothes on stage for the presentation on election night.
