Markus Hofmann

Markus Hofmann ( born February 5, 1975 in Nabburg ) is a German memory trainer and keynote speaker. As an author, he wrote non-fiction books, articles and audio training CDs on the subject of memory training and brain. Since 2010 he has directed the Steinbeis Transfer Institute Professional Speaker GSA at the Steinbeis University in Berlin.

Life and work

Markus Hofmann completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and then worked as a secretary for press and public relations at the Sparkasse im Landkreis Schwandorf, then in the field of advertising and communications for the Savings Banks Association of Bavaria. At the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and marketing, he later completed his studies, which he completed in 2002 with a degree in Marketing (BAW ). Shortly thereafter, he trained as a MAT Trainer ( Mental activation training after Siegfried Lehrl ) at the Society for brain training and a two-semester part-time continuing the European Business coach at Koeppel Academy in Munich.

Memory Trainer

His method is called Markus Hofmann MEMO MIND. Basis of Hofmann 's training is the mnemonics. So are some of the techniques he taught, for example, the widely used method of loci and the number - symbol technique. These are based on images, imagination and creativity. Hofmann admits to combine old techniques with current knowledge about brain and memory. Positive motivation and positive feedback in learning are crucial for him - as well as specific learning cycles to convey what they have learned from short-term memory into long term memory. The way Hofmann conveys his memory training, he himself refers to as infotainment. Hofmann took effect in 2005 betting in the ZDF television program, dass. as a memory trainer on a candidate who had bet to recognize 100 Scottish Clans on patterns of their kilts.

Keynote Speaker

Markus Hofmann is also active as a keynote speaker and took, among others, the expert forum " The success maker" of the news magazine Focus in part. In 2010 he received in Orlando certification as a Certified Speaking Professional ( CSP), which is considered a Quality award for full-time lecturer. He is among other things Member of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF ) and assessor of the board of German Speakers Association.
