Marley Shelton

Marley Eve Shelton ( born April 12, 1974 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress.

Life and career

Shelton the profession of actress was almost in the cradle. As the daughter of producer and advertising filmmaker Christopher Shelton, it was easy for them to get into the film industry, though at first she was not interested to lead a life on the stage.

Ultimately, however, she went into the film industry and played before her studies at the University of California in the movie Grand Canyon - In the heart of the city. In order to finance their studies, Shelton took minor roles in film and television at, among others, in 1995 Nixon. Shelton gained her international breakthrough in 1998 on the side of Tobey Maguire in Pleasantville - Too good to be true and 1999 alongside Renée Zellweger in The Bachelor. In 1999, she played a rather liberal and wicked role in Evil Affairs opposite Dennis Hopper. In 2000, she played the lead role in the teen comedy Sugar & Spice next to Mena Suvari. The role of the pregnant cheerleaders Diane Weston, however, did not help her make the big leap to Hollywood. In 2001, she took a role in the thriller Scream if you can. Also, this role was setting fast. 2005 Shelton was seen in the movie Sin City in a supporting role, among others, alongside Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis and Clive Owen. In 2007, she starred in films with Planet Terror and Death Proof Grindhouse by directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. In 2009, she starred in A Perfect Getaway alongside Milla Jovovich. In 2011 she played among others in addition to Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Hayden Panettiere the role of Deputy Judy Hicks in Scream 4
