Martin Claesson (born 20 September 1983) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder, who ran aground in his career for IFK Värnamo and Östers IF in the Swedish professional football, is the older brother of the Swedish international's Viktor Claesson.

Career

Claesson comes from the youth of the IFK Värnamo. For the club he made his debut at the beginning of the 2000s in the adult area, and established himself as a regular player on the offensive. After seven goals this season in the 2004 he made higher class attention and left in December of the third division in the direction Östers IF. Here, however, he could only temporarily settle in the team. Had he contested in the 2005 twelve league games in the Superettan and contributed with a goal of the season for promotion to the Allsvenskan, he came in the first half of the following season only to three inserts.
