The Superettan 2011 was the twelfth season since the introduction of Superettan as the second highest Swedish football league. The season started on April 9 and ended on 30 October 2011.

The first leg in the relegation place on 27 October in Ängelholm, as Ängelholms FF received as a table third in the second division season in the domestic Änglavallen Syrianska FC. The first division was shortly after half-time by Peter Ijeh in the lead, but goals from Sebastian Andersson and Johan Blomberg turned the game in favor of the host. The second leg three days later was dramatic: First Abgar Barsom had brought the Syrianska FC in the lead before again Sebastian Andersson tying for the second division. Johan Arneng shot the first division in 66 minutes again in front, who acted in outnumbered minute from the 81st after a sending-off against Marcus Lindberg. Shortly before the end of stoppage time extended AFF - defensive player David Bennhage a cross into his own goal, so the decision was made in favor of the preservation of class Syanska FC.
