Martin Hřídel

Martin Hřídel ( May 22nd, 1968 in Kladno ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Hřídel played in his youth for Sparta Doly Kladno, Poldi Kladno, Kladno again Sparta Doly, Kablo Kročehlavy and finally again for Poldi Kladno. His military service completed the midfielder 1987-1988 at VTJ Tachov.

Then Hřídel returned to the then second division Poldi Kladno. In the summer of 1991, he moved to Japan to JEF United Ichihara. After a year he returned to Kladno. In the summer of 1993, Hřídel Slovan Liberec joined. For Slovan Liberec, he completed 75 first division matches in which he scored eleven goals. In 1996 Hřídel within the league to Viktoria Plzen. For Pilsen he made 40 games in which he hit three times. Then Hřídel played two years for Slovan Liberec and in the season 2001/ 02 for the Podještědský FC Český Dub.

Coaching career

His coaching career began Hřídel in summer 1998 as an assistant to Ladislav Škorpil at FC Slovan Liberec. He held until the end of 2003 this function. From 2002 to 2004 Hřídel trained in addition, the B- team of Slovan Liberec. In the season 2004/ 05 Hřídel worked as an assistant coach at Slavia Prague. Then was Hřídel in autumn 2005 assistant of Josef Csaplar at Panionios Athens.

From January 2007 to the end of season was Hřídel assistant Pavel Malura at the 1 FC Slovácka. In the fall of 2007 he was an assistant coach at FK Jablonec. End of April 2008 he took over as head coach of the second division club Sparta Krc, but the team could not save them from relegation.

From July 2008 to April 2010 was training Hřídel SK Kladno. In the season finale in 2009/10 he was a coach at FC Zenit Čáslav and helped the team to the league. For the 2010/11 season Hřídel took over as coach at the 1st FK Pribram.
