Martin Jakš

Martin Jaks (born 6 September 1986) is a Czech cross-country skier.

Martin Jaks starts for Tatran Železná Ruda. He began his international career in 2003 in FIS races and at the Junior World Championships in Stryn. However, he reached in 2005 at the Junior World Championships in Rovaniemi Notable results. He was fifth in the pursuit and eleventh in the 10 -kilometer race. His debut in the World Cup he gave in December 2005 at a 15 -kilometer race ( 46 ) in Nové Město na Moravě. First World Cup points he gained as a 25 on the same route in January of the following year in Otepaeae. In February 2006, he again took part in the Junior World Championships. About 10 kilometers, he won the silver medal behind Petter Northug, in the pursuit he finished third. At the national championships of the year he was in Candanchú Czech champion in the pursuit. The first place in the top ten of the World Cup erlief Jaks in December 2006 with the Czech season as seventh -placed in La Clusaz.
