MartÃn Silva
Martín Andrés Silva Leites (nicknamed Flaco ) ( born March 25, 1983 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football goalkeeper.
Association
The Flaco called goalkeeper began at the age of four years at the football games. The age of fourteen he joined Defensor Sporting. There stood since the Clausura 2002 with a squad of the first team, making his debut in that year under coach Ricardo " Tato " Ortíz within the home game against Plaza Colonia in the Primera División and was in the 2007/08 season with his team winning the Uruguayan championship recorded. Since the season 2006/ 07 he graduated to date, according to ESPN 146 first division matches ( league and Liguilla, as of the start of the Apertura 2006/ 07 to 12 June 2011) for Defensor and came to ten inserts in the Copa Libertadores in the competition of the season 2008 /09. He was also 2010/11eingesetzt in four games his club in the Copa Sudamericana 2008/ 09 and eight games in the Copa Sudamericana. Another source points from July 2002 from a total of 211 games for Defensor for him. Beginning of August 2011 he moved to Paraguay to Olimpia Asunción and signed a contract for the next five seasons. Until his last mission on 26 October 2013, stood there since the Clausura 2011, which ended for his club Olimpia by winning the Paraguayan championship in 80 league games and six or 16 matches of the Copa Libertadores in 2012 and 2013 on the court. End of November 2013, he released his contract on at the Paraguayans.
National
In the U -17 World Championship 1999 Silva came in the Uruguayan selection to four inserts. 14 matches he graduated from the U-20 national team of Uruguay. With the Uruguayan U -20 he took this part in both the U-20 Football Championship 2001 South America as well as those of 2003.
Silva is also a member of the Uruguayan national team, for whom he made his debut on 12 August 2009 in the match against Algeria. Coach Oscar Tabarez Washington appointed him to the squad for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, where he did not come, however, to use one. He also was a member of the squad, the Copa America 2011 played and won the title. There, however goalkeeper Fernando Muslera attended all meetings with Uruguayan participation, so that he remained again without using minutes in a major tournament. On June 23, 2013, then played his second outing for the A national team when he was on the court at the Confederations Cup against Tahiti. In the two World Cup qualifiers against Jordan Relegation he came due to an injury -budgetary international goalkeeper Muslera also used. Thus he graduated until his preliminary final match on 20 November 2013, a total of four national games.
