Martin St. Pierre

Martin St. Pierre ( born August 11, 1983 in Embrun, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 when the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Martin St. Pierre began his career as a hockey player with the Guelph Storm, for by 2004 he was active from 2000 in the Canadian top junior league Ontario Hockey League. Then he played in the 2004/05 season for the Greenville Grrrowl from the ECHL and Edmonton Road Runners of the American Hockey League. Then the attackers received on 3 November 2005 as a free agent contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, for which he was used sporadically in the National Hockey League in the next three years. Instead, the links Sagittarius was predominantly for Chicago's farm team of the American Hockey League, the Norfolk Admirals and Rockford IceHogs on the ice, the Canadians had started the season 2007/ 08 in Moskovskaya Oblast Chimik from the Russian Super League.

On July 24, 2008 St. Pierre of Chicago was given in exchange for Pascal Pelletier to the Boston Bruins, for whom he in the 2008 /09 season in 14 games four scorer points, including two goals scored. Again, he mainly played in the AHL, where he ran aground in a total of 77 games for the Providence Bruins. On 1 July 2009, the Center received a one-year contract, which has both the NHL and AHL validity in Boston League rivals Ottawa Senators.

The 2010/11 season he joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the KHL before he moved in October 2010 to Kärpät Oulu in the SM- liiga. In January 2011, he signed a contract until the end of the season when EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Erste Bank Hockey League. With the Salzburg the Canadian won the Austrian championship in the 2010/11 season.

On July 11, 2011 St. Pierre signed a Zweiwegvertrag for one year at the Columbus Blue Jackets. After he had spent the subsequent year in the game Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League, the Canadian signed in July 2013 a one-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens.
