Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou (* 1983 in Athens, Greece ) is a Greek fashion designer who lives and works in London.

Life

Katrantzou began in 2003 with a degree in architecture at the Rhode Iceland School of Design. Later she went to London to study at London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. After Bachelor degree in " textile prints for interiors " she focused in her master's program on the creation of prints for fashion textiles. In 2006, she created a curriculum for the department " textiles" of the college. Opened in 2008 its draft annual performance show of the graduate college.

In the following years Katrantzous creations were sold internationally in the fashion boutiques in department stores such as Selfridges or Neiman Marcus, a collection for Topshop in 2011 was sold out within days. She now has three collections for Topshop designed. Fashion magazines such as Vogue or Grazia reported on their fashion creations. The spring / summer 2013 collection of the label's Current / Elliot Mary Katrantzou has helped to shape.

The American photographer Erik Madigan Heck created in 2012 a series of images of her designs for the Texas department store chain Neiman Marcus, entitled The Art of Fashion.
