Mason Adams

Mason Adams ( born February 26, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York City, † April 26, 2005 in Manhattan, New York City ) was an American actor.

Life

Adams studied theater at the University of Wisconsin -Madison and began his career in the 40s as a speaker in popular radio games. In the '60s he worked mainly as a spokesperson for commercials.

Great popularity he achieved in 1977 with the role of chief editor Charlie Hume on the television series Lou Grant, a spin-off of The Mary Tyler Moore. This role earned him three nominations for the Emmy TV award as Best Supporting Actor.

His last role on Broadway in 2002, he played in Arthur Miller's The Man Who Had All the Luck.
