Matawinie Regional County Municipality
Matawinie is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the administrative region of Lanaudière and consists of 27 subordinate administrative units ( 13 municipalities, two Sprengel and eleven unincorporated areas). The MRC was established on 1 January 1982. The main town is Rawdon. The population is 51,623 and the area 9578.7 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 5.4 inhabitants per km ².
