Matt Costa

Matt Costa ( born June 16, 1982 in Huntington Beach, California, USA ) is an American singer and songwriter.

Biography

Matt Costa was born in Huntington Beach and grew up in Cypress / California. He was already 12 years old his first guitar, but increased his interest in skateboarding and his guitar became more and more into oblivion. Early on he was given a professional contract as a skater. However, after 7 years of successful skating his leg was shattered in a severe accident. In the 18 months of recovery Costa devoted himself to his new and old love: the guitar. The first songs created and soon his first demo tape was finished. This eventually became the guitarist of No Doubt, Tom Dumont, in his hands. 2003 Matt Costa EP was released. Two years later came the debut album Songs We Sing on Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records label.
