Matt Targett

Matthew Stephen C. " Matt" Targett ( born December 24, 1985 in Chertsey, Surrey ) is an Australian freestyle swimmer.

Matt Targett broke out in February 2008, he as the fifth Australian swimmer the 49 -second limit on the 100-m freestyle distance. In good shape, he was qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, where he took on three routes. With the 4x100m freestyle relay, he reached his greatest international success, winning the bronze medal. About 100 m freestyle Targett reached the final, where he finished seventh. With the 4x100m medley relay, he reached the final, but was not used there at winning the silver medal. The following year, he joined the World Swimming Championships 2009 in Rome and won over 50 -m butterfly and a silver medal with the 4 × 100 -meter medley relay bronze medal. With the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay, he finished eighth and last place in the final.
