Matteya ben Heresh

Mattia ben Cheresch ( Mattja ben Cheresch or Charasch; * in Judea ) was a Jewish scholar of antiquity; he was in the second century AD and is among the Tannaim late the so-called second generation.

He was a pupil of Eliezer ben Hyrcanus and taught in Rome, where he founded a school, immediately before the Hadrianic war.

Being in the Sayings of the Fathers ( IV, 5) of traditional motto is: "Come anyone with a greeting before. You better be the tail of the lion as the head of the fox. "
