Matúš Putnocký

Matus Putnocký ( born November 1, 1984 in Prešov ) is a Slovak football player. The goalkeeper played his career in his home country.

Sports career

Putnocký began playing football at BSK Bardejov. From there he moved to FC Steel Trans Ličartovce in the second division. Several times he missed as a substitute goalkeeper with the team barely move up to the Corgoň league. To improve the chances of promotion, the club owners launched a merger with the stuck in financial difficulties 1.FC Kosice to use the left there better environment. With the eventually renamed in 2005 MFK Košice club Putnocký rose in 2006 to the Corgoň League and established himself in the course of time as a goalkeeper. In 2009 he reached with the team the cup final, in which the title was taken goals from Marko Milinković, Róbert Cicman and Ján Novák with a 3-1 win against Artmedia Petržalka.

Putnocký nevertheless left the club in the summer of 2009 and joined the reigning champions ŠK Slovan Bratislava. With three points behind MŠK Žilina he missed with the club defending their title in the championship, with a 6-0 final win against FC Spartak Trnava he won but with the team to Michal Breznaník, Jakub Sylvestr, Karim Guédé and Kornel Saláta his second Cup victory. With Slovan Had been Slovakian champions and the national cup competition he won twice. Putnocký is at Slovan goalkeeper (August 2011).
