The Maun Airport (English Maun Airport ) is the international airport of Maun in Botswana and is considered the gateway to the Okavango Delta. It is located about five kilometers east of the city.

Most flights are operated by small aircraft and charter airlines that bring in the delta mainly tourists and supplies. The Maun airport by aircraft movements is the busiest airport in Botswana and by the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport is the second largest by number of passengers. According to the state-owned operator, the airport is one of the busiest in Southern Africa. In 2008 there were 42 708 aircraft movements with 201,010 passengers.

Infrastructure

The airport only has a passenger terminal and a small cargo terminal. In addition to the airport include a shopping center (one kilometer east ), office buildings and restaurants. Car rentals are available at the airport and customs, as well as a currency exchange.

Airlines and connections

Air Botswana flies in the scheduled flight to Kasane and Gaborone at home and to Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. Air Namibia linking the airport to the international airport at Windhoek Hosea Kutako in Namibia.
