Maurice Hinchey

Maurice Dunlea Hinchey ( born October 27, 1938 in New York City ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. From 1993 to 2013 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the state of New York.

Biography

Hinchey was born in New York City. He grew up in Saugerties and completed his education at the Saugerties High School. Subsequently, he served from 1956 to 1959 in the U.S. Navy.
