Mauro Forghieri

Mauro Forghieri ( born January 13, 1935 in Modena ) is a former Italian engine and race car designer.

Career

Forghieri studied at the University of Bologna engineering, doctorate and began a teaching career, but was planning to go to California to work in the aerospace industry.

Ferrari

Forghieris father, who had worked in the 1930s for Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari sat down at his son one who took the subsequent job offer in 1960. Only two years later, at the age of 26 years, was Forghieri sports director and chief designer and Eugenio Dragoni was team manager in the Ferrari racing team. In 1970, he was Technical Director.
