The Formula 1 1977 season was the 28th FIA Formula 1 World Championship. She was discharged through 17 races in the period from 9 January 1977 to 23 October 1977. Niki Lauda won for the second time, the drivers' world championship. Ferrari was the fifth Constructors' world champions.

The FIA honorary title of European Grand Prix was awarded to the Grand Prix of Great Britain 1977. The title was the last time this year awarded an honorary title, and managed as a separate event from 1983.
