The Formula 1 1982 season was the 33rd FIA Formula 1 World Championship. She was discharged through 16 races in the period from 23 January 1982 to 25 September 1982. Keke Rosberg won for the first and only time the drivers' world championship. Rosberg won the World Cup, although he was able to win a single race of the season. Ferrari was the seventh time Constructors' world champions.

GP South Africa ( Kyalami )
Brazilian GP ( Jacarepaguá )
The first-placed Nelson Piquet ( Brabham - Ford) and second-placed Keke Rosberg ( Williams - Ford) were disqualified for underweight car.
GP USA West (Long Beach )
Third-placed Gilles Villeneuve (Ferrari) was disqualified because of a double rear wing.
GP San Marino ( Imola )
This race was boycotted by the FOCA teams due to the disqualifications in Brazil. Manfred Winkelhock (ATS - Ford) was disqualified in sixth due to low weight.
GP Belgium ( Zolder )
Gilles Villeneuve was killed in qualifying fatal. He collided into his fast lap with which located in the cool-down lap Jochen Mass, rolled over several times, was pulled out of the seat and hit a pole. He died a few hours later at University Hospital Leuven.
