The Formula 1 1990 season was the 41st FIA Formula 1 World Championship. She was discharged through 16 races in the period of 11 March 1990 to 4 November 1990. Ayrton Senna won for the second time, the drivers' world championship. McLaren was the sixth time Constructors' world champions.

United States Grand Prix

The Grand Prix of the USA in Phoenix (Arizona ) took place on 11 March 1990 and went 72 laps ( 273.5 km ).

The qualifying led to an unusual grid, taking good starting positions in the numerous small teams. Best training was Gerhard Berger ( McLaren).
