Max Blecher
M. Blecher ( born September 8, 1909 in Botosani in northeastern Romania, † May 31 1938 in Roman) was a Jewish- Romanian writer, of his serious illness wrested a small but weighty work. The impact of Nazi rule in half of Europe launched its books into oblivion, and only decades after his death led to the rediscovery.
Life
Blechers first name remains unclear. The German National Library are three reference forms: Mihail, Marcel and Max The weekly Die Zeit, however, laid down, he had " Max Blecher L. " told. The manufacturer's son was at the age of 19 years to Paris to begin in the French capital to study medicine. They soon discovered that he suffered from tuberculosis of the bone. He was operated in a sanatorium in France. While bedridden, he wrote poetry and two autobiographical novels that process his observations and introspections. Later he was transferred to an experimental basis in two sanatoria in Switzerland and Romania. For years, the patient spent his life lying, as Heinrich Heine in the " mattress grave ".
