Max Holzboer

Max Holzboer ( Dr. Max Holsboer, * 1899 in Geneva, † unknown) was a Swiss ice hockey and actor who won several German championship with the Berlin Schlittschuhclub during his playing career in the 1920s.

Career

Max Holzboer began his career with HC Davos. In 1917 he moved to Berlin, where he was captain of the Berlin Ice Club and won several German with this title. As a foreigner, he received special permission to attend the matches of the championship.

In addition to the sport of ice hockey, he worked as a tennis coach and was responsible, inter alia, Leni Riefenstahl, who helped him in the 1930s to multiple roles in feature films such as The blue light and lowlands.

Internationally

With the Swiss national ice hockey team, he participated in the Summer Olympics in 1920 and finished fifth. Four years later, at the Olympic Winter Games in 1924, he was again the national squad but did not play.
