Max Lang

Max Lang ( b. 1982 ) is a German film director.

Life

Long stems from Rheinberg and studied from 2005 animation at the Film Academy Baden- Wuerttemberg. He has worked for the animation studio was founded in 2002 Studio Soi.

Together with Jakob Schuh he led in 2009 in the animated film The Gruffalo director, for which he also wrote the screenplay based on the eponymous children's book by Julia Donaldson. The film was awarded in 2010 at the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart with the Tricks for Kids Award for best children's animated film, and was nominated in 2011 for Best Animated Short Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. He also won two awards at the Prix Jeunesse. From 2011 to 2012 Lang worked with Jan Lachauer on the film adaptation of the children's book for the cat and dog is also space, also by Julia Donaldson. The film was nominated for a 2014 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
