Maxim Sushinsky

Maxim Jurjewitsch Suschinski (Russian Максим Юрьевич Сушинский; born July 1, 1974 in Leningrad, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last in Fribourg- Gottéron in the National League A under contract.

Career

Maxim Suschinski began his career in 1992 in the first Russian league with SKA Saint Petersburg. In 1996, the striker for Russian Avangard Omsk HK, where he played until 2005 and 2004 could win the Russian Championship. NHL Entry Draft 2000, the Minnesota Wild selected him in the fifth round of the 132nd place. In the 2000 /01 season Suschinski completed 30 games for Minnesota Wild, scoring seven goals. He was obliged by the Russian first division club HK Dynamo Moscow for one season in 2005. On his next club SKA St. Petersburg of the striker from 2006 to 2011 was under contract. In July 2011, joining Salavat Yulaev Ufa Suschinski where his contract was terminated in November 2011 after six goals and ten templates in 25 games, followed shortly afterwards, he moved to league rivals Metallurg Magnitogorsk. For Metallurg he graduated in Episode 35 KHL games before he left the club after the season again. Then there was speculation about the retirement of Suschinski. It was only in February 2013, he received a contract until the end of season in Fribourg- Gottéron.

Internationally

1994 Suschinski played with the Under-20 Junior of the Russian Federation to the World Junior Championships and won the bronze medal. From 1999, he regularly participated with the Russian national team at the World Championships. He also belonged to the Russian squad for the 2006 Winter Olympics at, where he also notched up two goals and three assists for itself in eight games. In 2008 he was World Champion with Russia.
