MaxJazz

MAXJAZZ (also MAXJAZZ ) is an American jazz label that was founded in 1998.

The jazz label MAXJAZZ was founded in 1998 by investment banker Richard " Rich" McDonnell ( 1945-2014 ) in St. Louis. McDonnell led the company full-time after he had in 2002 set in his previous profession to rest. Recordings of the label originated in St. Louis, inter alia, with local musicians such as the Kennedy Brothers, Dave Venn, Mardra and Reggie Thomas, Paul DeMarini and Dave Black, also with nationally known artists such as LaVerne Butler, Carla Cook, Geoffrey Keezer, René Marie, Rebecca Martin, Mulgrew Miller, Russell Malone, Jeremy Pelt, Eric Reed, Terell Stafford, Jessica Williams, and Steve Wilson. A series of albums was recorded at New York's Jazz Club Jazz Standard. The roduktionen total of 75 MAXJAZZ-P are distributed by Naxos. 2004 MAXJAZZ was nominated for the JJA awards the Jazz Journalists Association.
