Mazgirt

Mazgirt ( Kurdish: Mêzgir ) is a place in the homonymous district of Tunceli Province in Turkey. The area of the district is 674 km ². The district is located in the southeast of the province, bordering the province of Elazig. The Munzur flows through Mazgirt. The city was founded around the fortress Mazgirt, which probably comes from Urartian time.
