Meera Simhan

Meera Simhan is a British actress of Indian descent, which operates primarily in television series.

Life

Meera Simhan was born in England and grew up in San Diego. At the age of eight, she went to the Kodaikanal International School in the southern Indian mountain town of Kodaikanal, until they later returned to Southern California, where the high school and college in Orange County attended. After completing her studies she joined the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and worked for five years at various theaters in Great Britain, among others, she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at The Mercury Theatre, Colchester. After several lead roles in various regional British stage, including two world premieres, she took a role in the children's program The Lodge. After a short time they got away with it in prime time.

After six years in England Meera returned to the United States and soon received the lead role in turban, a film for PBS.

After that they had a variety of guest appearances and recurring roles in invasion (2005), Cold Case - No victim is ever forgotten ( 2003), Crossing Jordan - pathologist with profile (2001), ER - Emergency Room (1994 ), Judging Amy ( 1995-2005), Strong Medicine: like fire and ice ( 2000), New York Cops - NYPD Blue ( 1993), The Guardian - Saviour King " (2001), Practice - lawyers (1997) and The District - use in Washington ( 2000).

During their ongoing presence in television series, she worked again in the theater, has written five solo pieces for the theater and performed in over a dozen stages in Los Angeles and New York City .. Currently she plays the self-written one-hour solo show Miss India America in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

Meera Simhan lives with her husband Ravi Kapoor and her son in Los Angeles.
