Mehmet KurtuluÅŸ

Mehmet Kurtuluş (* 27 April 1972 in Usak ) is a German actor. In 2004, he co-produced the international award- winning feature film Head-On.

Biography

Kurtuluş was born in the Turkish city of Usak. At the age of two, he moved with his family to Salzgitter. His brother Tekin Kurtuluş is also an actor. He had first success at the high school at the Fred mountain in the school theater group. After graduation in 1991, he played at the Staatstheater Braunschweig. He was discovered by its own account by actress Evelyn Hamann. She met him at the filming of a sequence of Adelheid and her killers know where he had a ten- second long appearance as a supporting actor. She then recommended him for a role in the play gingerbread and gin. In this stage production with Evelyn Hamann in the lead role, he starred in the comedy Winterhuder ferry in Hamburg and at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin in 1994 and 1995.

After first television roles in various television series and another theater engagement at the Hamburg Chamber of games he succeeded in Fatih Akin's Short Sharp Shock (1998) in the lead role of the young Turks Gabriel breakthrough. Kurtuluş played in succession by Robert Atzorn 2008 to 2011 in six episodes as Inspector Cenk Batu at NDR Hamburg scene in a covert investigators. Previously, he was already due in the disputed Tatort episode Who Honor (2007 ) on the side of Maria Furtwängler be seen as an investigator.

After Kurtuluş had his contract extended with the NDR for the crime scene, he commented in March 2011 that he wanted to concentrate in the future on its international film projects. Kurtuluş was until 2013 a relationship with Désirée Nosbusch. The two met during filming of common know. He has two children from a previous relationship.
